A day of fun for kids in Kinship care, to promote inclusion, and an introduction to various sports.

There has been a change of date for the games, it is no longer 2/2/2020 but 9/2/2020. We apologise for any inconvenience, but it is out of our control.

Date for games to be held.

Sunday the 9th of February 2020.

We at Rivergum Grandparents Group have been looking at ways for the children in our care to feel included in activities of all kinds, which many of these children feel as though they don't fit in, because of their family situation. We believe that getting them together, for various outings and activities, will help them learn how to integrate into group situations, and grow into children who can join in with more confidence. This is an area we have been looking at with a great deal of interest, and have found that the more time they spend together, the more confident they become, this is why we are so committed to running this event.

The group is very proactive in providing many different sporting and fun activities, all done with funds from fundraising events we undertake, to give our kids as much time together, with the understanding, that these are days of "normality" for them , and to see them in this situation, is worth every bit of hard work we put in to make these days possible, and why we want to see as many children as possible, take part in a special event just for them.

The day

The games day is a free event, all costs, except travel expenses, to be covered by Rivergum Grandparents Group, with the help from grants and fundraising, with lunch and afternoon tea provided. All events on the day will be voluntary participation, Choose what you want to be a part of.
